About Lana
I received my Registered Nurse Diploma (RN) from St. Boniface School of Nursing in Manitoba, Canada and my Legal Nurse Consultant Certification (LNCC) from the Paralegal Institute, Brighton College in Scottsdale, Arizona.
I hail from Northern Manitoba and consider myself a small town girl at heart. I have lived and worked in Hawaii, Florida, Texas as well as remote Canada, and pride myself in making anywhere home.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my adult kids. I have seen most of Canada, 41 US States, Panama, Iceland, Mexico, and spent a life changing month on the beach in the Bahamas. I also enjoy CrossFit, cooking, gardening and crafts.
My Philosophy
Not only are nurses coming out of school with substandard clinical skills, limited knowledge, lesser professionalism and work ethic, there seems to be a frightening lack of awareness to it all. Substandard care unfortunately has become an acceptable new norm in healthcare. This is where my passion and commitment lies. I am passionate about providing optimal care and critically thinking on behalf of patients which ultimately produces best outcomes. This is a nurse’s duty.
Over the past 30 years, my nursing practice has been a standard of excellence which has evolved into a Legal Nurse Consulting business. Not only am I certified, I also hold the title of Nurse Paralegal. This is just one quality that sets me apart from other legal nurse consultants. My ability to explore and consider all the circumstances lead me to the facts, and I know the right questions to ask.
